- Gennaro Ivan Gattuso known as Rino Gattuso is a famous Italian coach and football player. He was born in Corigliano-Rossano (Calabria, Italy) the 9th January 1978 and he played 18 year as professionist football player. He's most known for 2 UEFA Champions League (2003 and 2007) and the 2006 FIFA World Cup wins as player.
He debuted in 1995 with Perugia in the Italian Serie B National Championship: he played 2 matches and he was promoted to the Italian Serie A National Championship for the following season. 8 matches in the Italian top league and he moved to the Rangers Football club in 1997. After 18 months, 51 matches and 5 goals in Scotland, he returned in Italy, playing 25 matches in Serie A with the Salernitana.
Finally, he move to A.C. Milan in the summer 1999. He debuted with the Milan shirt the 15 Semptember 1999, then he played 468 matches with the rossoneri, scoring 11 goals and winning 10 competitions: in 2001/2002 he reached the UEFA Cup semifinals, in 2002/2003 Gattuso won with the A. C. Milan both UEFA Champions League and Coppa Italia, in summer 2003 he won the UEFA Super Cup while in may 2004 he won his first Scudetto (Serie A Championship), then he won his first Italian Supercup (summer 2004) and in may 2005 he play his second UEFA Champions League final (loosing at penalties against Liverpool). Finally, in 2007 he won win Milan the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Supercup (he did the astiss for the Filippo Inzaghi's goal 1-1 of the 3-1 victory of the Seville) and then the FIFA Club World Cup. In the last two seasons with the rossoneri he won both the Scudetto and the Italian Supercup again (both in 2011).
He retired as defense-midfielder after a season played in Sion: 32 matches, 1 goal, 6th in the Super League and semifinalist of the in Swiss Cup 2013.
He played in the Italian National Team 73 times between 2000 and 2010, winning the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, playing the whole 120 minutes of the final and be selected for the FIFA World Cup All Star Team. He also got a gold in UEFA U-21 European Championship (2000) and a silver in UEFA U-18 European Championship (1995).
After he won 4 Italian titles (twice the Campionato Primavera with Perugia, twice the Serie A Championship with Milan), 3 European titles (2 on 3 finals played with Milan, 1 on the 2 under-aged finals played with the Italian National Teams) and 2 World titles (both the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup), he debuted as Sion coach for 4 games in 2012/2013 season. Then, he coached Palermo, Creta, Pisa before he returned to Milan. He reached a 6th and a 5th place with his former club in the Serie A Championship before moving to SSC Napoli. With the azzurri, Gattuso won his first competition as coach: he brought the SSC Napoli to his six Coppa Italia wins in 2020, then he finished 7th in the first Serie A Championship with the azzurri. - Gino Renni was born on 7 June 1943 in Corigliano Calabro, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy.
